Borderlands is an all-new sci-fi action game combining elements of first-person action titles with player customization and vehicular combat. Gearbox Software's Scott Velasquez stated that the reported friends list issue and the long connection times for finding public games are identified. A fix is in the works and Gearbox hopes to have a fix implemented before the game gets released outside of North America (on Friday).

  Gearbox sends word that the friends list issue has been resolved.

Transmission Games Shuts Down

According to multiple  reports, Transmission Games, formerly known as IR Gurus, has laid off all its remaining employees and has gone into voluntary liquidation. Earlier this year, the Australian Heroes Over Europe developer, also known for multiple AFL titles, had already let go 30 of its workers. Its burden of prior legal issues with Atari, along with various title cancellations (one of which was an adaptation of the blockbuster movie "Sin City"), have brought the studio to its knees.
