Lost Planet 2's story has advanced beyond Wayne Holden as players will now follow the exploits of their own customized snow pirates on their quest to seize control of E.D.N III. Battlefield 1943 takes players back to WWII. The game offers endless hours of 24 player multiplayer action over three classic and tropic locations; Wake Island, Guadalcanal and Iwo Jima. EA just sent out a newsletter revealing that Battlefield 1943 is scheduled for release on XBL/PSN on July 9, 2009.

revealed that its RPG is dead in the water (since Feb.), and SEGA confirmed that it has no plans to move forward with the Aliens RPG ....

With Activision's Guitar Hero being a phenomenon, EA's Rock Band going strong, and the branching out of the franchises (DJ Hero, latest Tony Hawk), it is only normal that other publishers/developers are jumping on the bandwagon. THQ chief executive Brian Farrell
revealed that they are also working on a peripheral-based game, saying it's "different from anything else out there and will give us a competitive advantage," although whether or not it's a music-based game was not mentioned.
