The Norsk Film Institutt, Norway's governmental division representing the digital arts sectors, has given Funcom a $260,000 grant to develop On The Edge Of The World, a free-to-play snowboarding title that it hopes will promote Norwegian winter sports. On The Edge Of The World will be developed for both PC and Mac, with both editions featuring online competitions, social networking access, and trans-media integration (thanks Blues).
