Last month, Tecmo teased that it would be making a major announcement at GDC, and while that is still the case, the latest issue of Japanese magazine Famitsu revealed that Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 for the PS3 is in development, which is now confirmed by Tecmo itself. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 is an improved version of the X360's Ninja Gaiden II, featuring a new playable character (Ayane), new boss fights and weapon, currently scheduled for release fall 2009 in Japan/North America, followed by Europe.

Former Ensemble Studios programmer Dusty Monk has launched Windstorm Studios. No formal announcement has been made yet, but it was revealed that the independent studio is working on a new MMO.
