After many quarters (years?) of doom and gloom, Atari must be overjoyed that its Q1 2009 financial result shows signs of improvement with net revenue clocking in at $40.3 million vs. Q1 2008's $10.4 million, with its net income jumping from last year's $11.9 million loss to a positive $3.5 million, no doubt driven by the Alone in the Dark release.

NCsoft issued its Q2 2008 financial results revealing that while sales were up 7%, operating profit, pre-tax profit, and net income dropped 25%, 31%, 42%, respectively. As a result NCSoft issued a statement that it has laid off 21 positions at its Austin studios after certain not yet announced projects were halted, while also scaling back the Dungeon Runners team as it decided not to port the client to other platforms.
