Nintendo Press Conference Reveals Slew of New Titles/Remakes

At its Tokyo press conference, Nintendo not only revealed the Nintendo DSi, but also unveiled a bunch of new titles for the Wii. Not heard of since the 1994 SNES iteration, Punch-Out!! is returning, Treasure's Sin And Punishment 2, Namco-Bandai's Tales of, Dynasty Warriors, Another Code, while various Gamecube titles are coming to WiiWare, such as Pikmin, Let's Tap, and Wii Wave.

Nintendo DSi Officially Announced

It's official: The NDS is getting a makeover. The DSi is 12% slimmer, sports 3.25-inch screens, does away with the GBA slot but adds an SD card adapter (download from the web and load off the card), allows you to play music and has two 3-megapixel cameras (one on the inside, the other on the outside). The DSi will become available in Japan on Nov. 1 for 18900 yen ($180) and will also be able to surf the web and catalog your photos in a flipbook or port them to the Wii. Nintendo will also launch a DSi Shop where you can download titles for free, or purchase them for either 200, 500, or 800 points (DSi comes with 1000 points free).

'LittleBigPlanet' (PS3) Coming to PSP?

LittleBigPlanet is a new PS3 community-based game where players meet on a blue and green planet scattered with individual plots -- and use their character's amazing abilities to play, create and share what they build with other gamers throughout the world via PS Network. In a recent interview Media Molecule's Mark Healy hinted at the possibility to bring LBL to PSP, how it would be cool to be able to create stuff on the go, even create music, and to later import into the PS3 game. This notion is further fueled by a MM job listing looking for PSP programmers to work on new LittleBigPlanet projects.

Microsoft Donates 'Family Game Pack' (X360) Proceeds to Children's Hospitals

Microsoft has created a Children’s Miracle Network Family Game pack for X360 that will be available by Oct. 15. The $29.99 pack includes Viva Piñata Party Animals, Sonic The Hedgehog and Shrek The Third, of which all the proceeds will go to support one of the 170 Children’s Miracle Network hospitals.
