Konami announced the top-10 national finalists in the national Karaoke Revolution Presents: American Idol contest. More than 500 crooners from NY to LA entered in regional competitions where they performed their chosen song from the game and were judged by virtual video game versions of American Idol judges Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson.

AMD Under Investigation By Department of Justice

AMD has received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) Antitrust Division in connection with the DOJ’s investigation into potential antitrust violations related to graphics processors and cards. AMD entered the graphics processor business following the company’s acquisition of ATI last month. The DOJ has not made any specific allegations against AMD or ATI. AMD intends to cooperate with the investigation.

Michigan's Violent Video Game Law Defeat Costs Taxpayers $180,000

In a surprising turn of event, Sony Japan released an announcement that Gran Turismo HD will launch in retail stores, but instead as a free downloadable demo through the PlayStation Store. Shifting development focus to GT 5 instead, the demo, only confirmed for Japan, will be released on December 24th and include ten cars, two layouts of a single track, Time Attack and Drift Trial modes, with an online Network Ranking feature.
