Twenty-four of Europe's best professional video game players landed in New York Wednesday night, ready to do battle with the best of the U.S. in the first Transatlantic Showdown video gaming competition.

While Winning Eleven 10 is not even announced yet for North America or Europe, the newest installment in the soccer franchise is launching in Japan on April 27, 2006. For WE10, Konami has now also licensed national soccer teams such as Italy, England, Spain, and Argentina. An arcade version, Winning Eleven 2006 Arcade Championship, is also scheduled, as well as a mobile phone version, Winning Eleven Mobile.

Techland announced today that it will release a single-player demo for its upcoming car racing game GTI Racing, based on the Chrome Engine used previously in Xpand Rally. The demo will feature 3 out of over 25 car models from the full game and few tracks presenting diversified locations.

Sony Europe announce that it is bringing Ready At Dawn's PSP exclusive Daxter to Europe spring Spring 2006. After years of standing in Jak's shadow, Daxter gets his turn in the spotlight as he stars in his very own game, letting you control Jak's wacky sidekick throughout the entire game.

Red Hot Shots, Dive Tackling, Wall Running, Dragon Punches, over-the-top mid-air volleys - all chainable tricks in HoopWorld. Developed by Streamline Studios, HoopWorld is a three-on-three multiplayer trick game that rewards gamers for playing competitively together.

War Front: Turning Point explores an alternate World War II, one in which Hitler is assassinated in the early days. This new timeline includes more than just new leadership. Players will take command of experimental weapons, prototype vehicles and units rarely seen in strategy games in an attempt to alter or secure the historical outcome of World War II.

Square Enix is working on a new expansion pack for its MMORPG Final Fantasy XI, which will introduce new maps, monsters, and several new classes such as the much-anticipated Blue Mage.

During his GDC keynote speech Nintendo President Satoru Iwata revealed that Nintendo is working on a new Zelda game for the NDS. While The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass details are still limited, the demo showed that the top screen will be used for the game, lower part as map, while the stylus is used for opening doors (by drawing an hourglass), and directing your boomerang shots. Returning are the puzzle-based dungeons and the Navi glow used for targeting.

SEGA today announced that they will be providing classic NES, SNES and Mega Drive titles as part of the Virtual Console system for Nintendo's new generation console Nintendo Revolution.

Untold Legends: The Warrior's Code is the next game in the Untold Legends series following the top- selling Brotherhood of the Blade. The Warrior's Code is an entirely new RPG, as compared to its predecessor, with an evolutionary interactive combat engine, new 3D enhanced graphics, special effects and lighting.
