VoodooExtreme manage to corner Ken Levine of Irrational Games for an interview about their stupendous super hero roleplaying game, Freedom Force. Here is a sample:

VE: You know, being a first person shooter fan, I love guns. Can I get them in FF for my hero, and can I have really big guns that blow things up?

Ken: You can create gun powers with the super power creator. All of the guns in the game, from the standard gunpowder type to the super ray guns and their ilk are created with our super power creator. Every power in the game is created with the system and the end user has access to the same tools as we do. And of course, unlike shooters, EVERYTHING actually can blow up. Read on..

THQ Inc. today unveiled Summoner 2 exclusively for the PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system. Developed by THQ’s studio, Volition, creators of Red Faction, Summoner 2 is the sequel to one of the top-selling role-playing games for PlayStation 2. 'Toxic Grind' Announced for XBox and GC

THQ Inc. today unveiled Toxic Grind, a story-driven, mission-based BMX game for the Xbox video game system from Microsoft and Nintendo Gamecube. Set in the year 2097, players will assume the role of BMX rider Jason Hayes who has been forced to ride for his life with other riders on the set of a sadistic television game show entitled Toxic Grind. Toxic Grind is scheduled for release in the second half of 2002.

Sierra Entertainment, a studio of Vivendi Universal Publishing, and Argonaut Games PLC today announced Malice, a platform-adventure game featuring the most unexpected heroine to come to the console arena, is coming to the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system. Malice is currently in development for the Xbox video game system and is due to release worldwide next fall on both next generation consoles under the Sierra brand.
