Max Payne v1.05 Patches

3D Realms have just released two new patches for Max Payne, one for the demo and one for the retail version. Grab the Demo patch HERE and grab the Retail patch HERE. These patches fix the following problems:
* Game exits with the error message "Out of memory vertex buffer".
* Game exits when loading a new level.

Activision, Inc. and id Software have teamed up with the Online Gaming League to host the Return to Castle Wolfenstein "Battle on the Beachhead" tournament. Gamers from across North America will hit the front lines and battle for world domination and exciting prizes including the Nintendo GameCube, Nintendo Game Boy Advance and hundreds of popular games. The tournament will run from January 29 through March 12, 2002 at wolf.worldogl.com, on the Speakeasy Network, home of the largest broadband gaming community and the official ISP of the OGL.

We have three new screenshots from Pharaoh Productions and their upcoming action RPG DOMINION. The initial release of DOMINION will be for the Microsoft Xbox. Pharaoh anticipate releasing the PC version of DOMINION roughly 3 months after the initial Xbox release.

Trakers is an new online role playing first person shooter that uses the Torque Game Engine "same engine as Tribes 2 use". The screens reminds us a bit of Ghost Recon. Here is a small description from devs about the game:

Star Trek Bridge Commander Update

The Star Trek Bridge Commander website has been updated with four new shots with one showing the ship registry decal map for the U.S.S. Dauntless. Several federation ships throughout in the game will now feature registry information. Blizzard have once again updated the Warcraft III Web Site with a new unit, The Death Knight, which is one of the undead heroes. Here is a description:
Death Knights were once virtuous defenders of Humanity. However, they were corrupted by the subtle machinations of the Lich King and lured to his standard. These former heroes were given untold power and the promise of immortality in exchange for their loyalty. Although they retained their humanity, their twisted souls were bound to the Lich King's will for all time. Bestowed with black, vampiric Runeblades and shadowy steeds, Death Knights now serve as the Scourge's mightiest generals.

Robert Duffy from Id Software has updated his .plan to clear up a bit of confusion initially surrounding the Return to Castle Wolfenstein tools SDK that was released yesterday. Here is a snip:
To clear up a bit of confusion, what we released yesterday was the level editing tools and not the full SDK for Wolfenstein. Everything is there to create both single-player and multi-player maps. Also included is Escape ( from single-player ) and Beach ( from multi-player ) for reference.
The source code will be available soon.
