Electronic Arts announced that Boogie will be released for the Wii on August 7, 2007 in North America and August 31, 2007 in Europe. According to Variety, City of Heroes producer Tom DeSanto has obtained the rights to turn the MMORPG into a live-action movie and possibly a tv series because he sees City of Heroes as "the next big superhero franchise." City of Heroes is about superheroes teaming up to defend Paragon City from a catastrophic alien invasion. DeSanto is a co-producer on the upcoming "Transformers" film and was executive producer of the first two "X-Men" movies.
