CDV sent out word that they have a released a new (UK, French & German)) patch for Battlefront's strategy title Combat Mission 2. The update brings your retail game to v1.03 and brings several game tweaks such as "Russian blunt-nose APBC ammo is reduced in effectiveness versus homogenous armor (e.g. Tiger, late StuG III) but increased versus face-hardened armor (some Pz IV, early/mid StuG III)." Crashday puts the player in a world of stunts, dents and adrenalin. His task is to scrap his vehicle with breathtaking stunts or to wreck cars in aggressive street races, showing his opponents that they made a fatal mistake in choosing him as their enemy. The battle setting place in maps partly created by the player is sponsored by a crazy video shop owner who sells new vehicles, weapons and other upgrades from time to time.

The storyline follows the player through the major actions in the conflict, from search and destroy missions around Danang airbase to the Tet offensive and the counterattack on Hue. A cast of AI controlled characters accompanies the player through the missions, and he learns their value and mourns their loss as the war progresses. The game will support a cooperative mode that allows the player to experience the entire tour of duty with his friends, and various multiplayer modes allow the player to experience the war from the perspective of North Vietnamese Army or Viet Cong guerillas as well as US Forces. A batch of screens, some familiar looking, but all in high res. Check them out!

Following their recent chart success with the million selling Stronghold series on PC, London-based developer, Firefly Studios, have catapulted their creativity into the not-so-distant future announcing, Space Colony, due for release this Fall on PC. Space Colony is best described as a space-based People Sim meets a City Builder. The player manages and nurtures a group of dysfunctional space dwellers colonising the most unearthly corners of the galaxy.
