Responding to consumer feedback from the online games played, FIFA Soccer 10 will deliver a new standard for authenticity with gameplay refinements and innovations that will make it the most complete and intelligent simulation of soccer.

Last night Microsoft revealed that it would be pushing live a minor firmware update for the Xbox 360, which in the meantime is already available for download. There are no new features or changes in this update however, it is merely in preparation for additional system enhancements (Facebook/Twitter/Last.FM) that will arrive later this year.

Borderlands is an all-new sci-fi action game combining elements of first-person action titles with player customization and vehicular combat. Originally scheduled for Oct. 20, the PC edition has been pushed until Oct. 26 (Oct. 30 in Europe) for further optimization.

Samurai Warriors 3 is an evolution of the Warriors series, featuring an innovative new game mode and a completely fresh storyline. In addition to a host of new characters and combat and game-play elements, the game also will test players with new tactical and strategic challenges on the battlefield.

Zeno Clash, powered by Valve's Source Engine, is an action game with a strong focus on melee combat set in a punk fantasy world with the beautiful environments, where you will encounter incredible challenges.

Set in a modern day survival-horror universe, the co-operative gameplay of Left 4 Dead casts four "Survivors" in an epic struggle against hordes of swarming zombies and terrifying "Boss Infected" mutants. Left 4 Dead's second DLC Crash Course will be made available worldwide on Sept. 29 on X360 and PC.

Franticly paced and strategic, Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake pits two hordes of players against each other in comic medieval battle royale on PSP. The player's goal is to rescue a beloved princess from the enemy castle. There is a catch, though; the adversary has been feeding her magical cake to make her heavier to carry. Therefore, it will take much of the army working together to carry her across the battlefield.

L4D2 promises to set a new benchmark for co-operative action games, adding melee combat to enable deeper co-operative gameplay, with items such as a chainsaw, frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and more. Last month, Game.co.uk revealed that pre-orders would get early access to the demo, as well as an in-game baseball bat, so whether the Oct. 27 date refers to that or not was not disclosed.

Oh boy, we're in trouble! The new TV season started, and there are so many TV series that we want to follow that at certain points, there are three of them on at the same time. Luckily, the DVR can record two at the same time, and we can watch a third one live on TV, but damn, we'll have a lot of catching up to do during the weekend.

Tonight, we watched the two-hour premiere of "House" and the new season of "Castle." Both are off to a good start.

Speaking of "Castle," we're still waiting on Nathan Fillon's publicist to set up a time for us to conduct the Halo 3: ODST-related interview, and while we were hoping to run it before the game's launch, that unfortunately no longer seems possible, since it just shipped. Hopefully soon, though.

Earlier today, I wanted to play some CrimeCraft but got tied up compressing trailers, and since movie editing basically takes up all the CPU power, there was not much left to do. I think I need a third work computer just to play games — for research purposes, of course! :)
