Left 4 Dead, developed by Counter-Strike makers Turtle Rock Studios, is a co-operative multiplayer action game, using the Source Engine, and also introducing Turtle Rock's v2.0 A.I. technology. Originally scheduled for late 2007, then delayed until Q1 2008, recently acquired Turtle Rock Studios revealed today that Left 4 Dead is now scheduled for Aug./Sept. 2008.

Spacetime Studios announced that its MMO project Blackstar has been canceled by NCSoft, and as a result the Texas based developer had to let go 12 staff members. Spacetime Studios gives no reason why it was canceled by stated that it has a complete MMO engine w/ networking infrastructure, tools suite, and next-gen rendering engine, and is dedicated to the IP.
