Currently only scheduled for release in Japan later this month, D3 Publisher's The Zombie Crisis is the latest installment in its Simple DS series. A survival horror game, The Zombie Crisis has you fend off all kinds of gory zombies who would do nothing rather than feast on your brain with dual pistols, swords, machine guns and the good old shotgun.

NPD Group announced that video game software sales in 2007 reached a new record of $9.5 billion, a 28% increase compared to last year. Console games amounted to $6.6 billion, PC titles $910.7 million and handhelds a record $2.0 billion.

Activision has rolled out a Classic Rock Track Pack (550 Microsoft Points) which includes "Peace of Mind" as performed by Boston, "Juke Box Hero" as performed by Foreigner, and "Any Way you Want it" as performed by Journey.
