SouthPeak Interactive announced the acquisition of Austin-based Gamecock Media Group.

Following in the footsteps of prospectors and frontiersman of years past, Gamecock Media Group is saddling up and heading west – to PAX of course (Seattle, Friday, Aug. 29 - Aug. 31, 2008) where it will show off Mushroom Men, Pirates vs Ninjas Dodgeball, Legendary, and Velvet Assassin.

1C Company has signed an exclusive partnership agreement with Gamecock that will allow it to license, market, localize and publish Gamecock titles throughout Russia, CIS, Baltic countries, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland.

GameTap has signed a new deal with Gamecock to bring titles such as Insecticide and Stronghold Crusader Extreme to its free play ad-supported service.

Gamecock has signed an agreement with Valve to launch its titles on Steam, starting with Firefly Studios' Stronghold Crusader Extreme and Insecticide Part 1, followed later this year by Insecticide Parts 2, Velvet Assassin, and Legendary.

cdv Software and US publisher Gamecock Media Group have signed a strategic agreement that grants cdv AG exclusive rights to license, market and distribute Gamecock’s titles in Europe.

GamersGate has signed a digital distribution agreement with Gamecock, starting with FireFly's RTS Stronghold Crusader Extreme in May, followed by the episode action/adventure game Insecticide, and later this year additional titles like Velvet Assassin.

Gamecock Media Group announced that they will be publishing Blazing Lizard’s inaugural title in the Pirates vs. Ninjas series, allowing up to eight players to compete in the ultimate playground sport as some of the world’s most recognizable icons.

While it was already in its E3 lineup, Gamecock announced today that it has signed Sabotage. Set in World War II, Sabotage is a third-person shooter combining intense battles with guerrilla missions, featuring extensive stealth elements and challenging puzzles. Meet Violette Summer...

Section 8 is a futuristic first person shooter that brings strategy and tactics to the genre in a game where players can modify the battlefield on the fly. In Section 8 you are part of an elite infantry squad with a penchant for taking on suicide missions that no one else will tackle.

Gamecock Media Group continues its mission to champion original titles today with the announcement of the final details of its much anticipated E.I.E.I.O event. The "Expo for Interactive Entertainment, Independent and Original" is being held at Santa Monica's Hotel California, right smack in the middle of all the E3 hotels.

Dementium: The Ward, previously known as The Ward, tells a twisted story with gruesome 3D visuals and FPS gameplay. The game's interactive narrative reveals the puzzling nature of a strange hospital frozen-in-time, and introduces a cast of peculiar characters.
