Expanding upon the company's online roster of games for the new next-generation consoles, "SEGA Sports NHL 2K3" marks the ninth online game that SEGA will deliver this year allowing gamers to play online head-to-head against friends (or foes!) across the country. With the most experience in online console gaming, SEGA will deliver more online console games than any other company in 2002. Today we have some screens from the next Age in the upcoming game, Myst III: Exile for Xbox and PS2 -- the "Amateria Cavern." Each Age in Myst III: Exile was designed by a different designer, so the Ages all have a very distinctive look and feel. Amateria has a very oriental feel with extensive basalt columns, Japanese architecture, and glowing crystal formations.

Midway Sports, the sports brand of Midway Games Inc., announced today that MLB SlugFest 20-03, the first-ever adrenaline-style console baseball videogame, has shipped for the Xbox. MLB SlugFest 20-03 is also available for the PSn2 and is scheduled to ship for the Nintendo GameCube later this summer, with the Game Boy Advance version to follow in fall.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will release in time for the lucrative Christmas 2002 market exclusively on Xbox, with a PC version to appear by the end of the year. Xbox is the lead development platform for the game, which has been designed to take full advantage of the advanced graphics and sound capabilities of Xbox. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell will also feature online elements using the recently announced Xbox Live service.
