Earlier this year THQ announced it had acquired Atari's Stuntman franchise, with the sequel being in development at Paradigm Entertainment. The agreement included the option to eventually acquire the studio, which THQ did earlier this month. Paradigm will unveil its next-gen Stuntman 2 title later this year.

THQ today announced the formation of its new California based development team, Incinerator Games, comprised of veterans of the Twisted Metal, NFL GameDay and MLB 2006: The Show projects from Sony's 989 studios, as well as the Midnight Club franchise from Rockstar.

THQ today announced the acquisition of the Stuntman franchise from Atari. Stuntman 2 is currently in development for next-generation systems at Paradigm Entertainment, creators of titles such as T3: The Redemption and Mission: Impossible: Operation Surma. Additionally, THQ has exercised its option to acquire Paradigm and expects to finalize the transaction in the coming weeks.

A product page on the THQ UK website reveals plans for a Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Gold Edition, not to be confused with the previously announced Game of the Year Edition. While the GotY version contains the original and several patches, and 4 new mp maps, the Gold Edition will not only include the aforementioned but also the upcoming Winter Assault expansion pack (thanks Blues).
