After UbiSoft's last Far Cry v1.2 patch snafu, UbiSoft's Kurtis Buckmaster has posted a message in the official UbiSoft forums about the upcoming v1.3 patch. I guess that means they won't bother with the previous version anymore and just move on to the next. No specific release date has been mentioned, but it is lead to believe it will be available in the next 2 weeks. Read more for a detailed fix list.

As we
reported last week, Electronic Arts has signed a worldwide publishing agreement with Far Cry developers Crytek, which made us wonder what would happen with the 'Far Cry Instincts' console edition. Recently, Ubisoft announced that
Far Cry Instincts was pushed back for both Xbox and PlayStation2 to Q1 2005, which makes sense in light of the new developments. Today it came to our attention that Crytek is no longer in charge of the 'Far Cry Instincts' project, but it is instead under the internal wings of Ubisoft Montreal.

Ubisoft just sent out an announcement regarding the v1.2 Far Cry patch released earlier this week. "Far Cry patch 1.2 has shown unexpected behaviour on specific hardware configurations. These matters are mainly due to incompatibilities with several optimisations brought lately to the code, with the intent to please a large number of users.
