This v1.41 exe updates the mod tools for compatibility with the latest version of the game (and thus also the Dawn of War expansion pack). product page on the THQ UK website reveals plans for a Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Gold Edition, not to be confused with the previously announced Game of the Year Edition. While the GotY version contains the original and several patches, and 4 new mp maps, the Gold Edition will not only include the aforementioned but also the upcoming Winter Assault expansion pack (

A few weeks back it was already hinted at during THQ's latest financial results conference that a expansion pack for
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War would be coming up, and today
GameSpot has a few additional details to back that up.
Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Winter Assault is scheduled for fall of 2005 and will include an all-new playable fifth race, the Imperial Guard. More details to come with the official announcement, which will probably follow shortly.

GameSpot that THQ will be releasing a demo for Relic's 3D RTS Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. The 320mb demo will feature a tutorial, a full early campaign level and two skirmish maps. Of course we will have the demo available on
