Capt. Guy Smiley has sent us a note to let the 'Battlefield: Pirates' fans known a new alpha v0.2 will be released in the coming 2-3 weeks. Originally it was being held back until EA would fix the "flying" bug but alas such has not happened yet. The new v0.2 will not include a lot of new content, but mainly bug fixes (galleon lag fix will now be gone) and tweaks although it will include at least 1 new map.

Not much for words, the simple announcement is: "We are pleased to announce that Pirates of the Caribbean for Xbox and PC has begun shipping, and will be in stores in early July." (
