Ubisoft has signed a license deal with Touchstone Television for ABC's hit drama Lost and turn it into a new game franchise, tentatively scheduled for 2007. Ubisoft is currently in negotiations with TV series writers to work on story adaptation, and will recruit the neccesary to contribute their likenesses and voice talents.

It has been a few years since we last heard from The Lost, an action/horror title putting the player against denizens of the underworld. Back in 2003, it was to be published by Crave and developed by Irrational Games, but Crave then decided to go value price only. A few days ago FXLAbs announced a

AO: Lost Eden is an action-filled new expansion pack for Funcom's sci-fi MMORPG. Originally scheduled for late 2005,
game director Morten Byom announced it has been pushed back to somewhere in 2006. Reason for the delay, Funcom wants to keep providing new material to the live AO game, especially for its veteran/high level players. The 16.2 patch is currently being tested and adds an enhanced Shuttle port experience, new missions for the Nascence and Elysium areas, a new Outzone and Shadowlands experience, aimed primarily at single and small groups at the 205+ range.

Lost Planet: Extreme Conditions was one of the earlier games for the Xbox 360, and it really stood out for its unique gameplay and interesting premise. It had monster insects, a thermal meter, space pirates, a grappling hook and even giant robots, so it seems like it had enough features to be schizophrenic, but it all held together very well.
