Eidos today announced it has secured the North American publishing rights for Singles: Flirt Up Your Life. Developed by the German company, Rotobee, Singles: Flirt Up Your Life is a life and reality simulation game, which brings the excitement and anticipation of new, budding relationships into play. Eidos, in partnership with Deep Silver, a company of the Koch Media Group, will release Singles: Flirt Up Your Life for PC "via online download" early this Summer 2004.

The first of a new wave of features on Xbox Live will greet subscribers when they log into the world's largest online gaming service after an update this Wednesday. Starting on Wednesday, April 21st at 6 a.m., Xbox Live servers will be offline for as long as 24 hours while new features are added. Once back online, gamers will be able to send Voice Messages with their friend and game invites to other gamers, further personalizing their online gaming experience.

Film and Video Game production company Union Entertainment announced today the procurement of development financing for the company’s video game division. Backed by Korean software company Digital Tetra, the fund provides $1.2 million for Union to develop new games to a playable demo level before shopping the titles to game publishers. PC Gamer's 10th anniversary edition has the first details and screens from Call Of Duty: United Offensive. Under development at Return to Castle Wolfenstein's Gray Matter Studios, Call Of Duty: United Offensive is the upcoming expansion pack for Infinity Ward/Activision WWII FPS. Along the lines of the the original CoD game, United Offensive will feature three single player campaigns (Battle of the Bulge for the US side, the Battle of Kursk for the Russian side and an unnamed battle for the British side) and is expected to ship this coming fall (thanks Homelan).

This is a response to the high number of inquires and downloads CCP has received during the last 48 hours from Earth and Beyond users. These users have been forced to look elsewhere for an alternative Science Fiction Online Game after Electronic Arts announced it would close down Earth and Beyond at the end of summer.
