Rumored for a few weeks now, EA, Harmonix and MTV Games announced AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack, the first standalone spinoff title for Rock Band partly to promote AC/DC's upcoming album Black Ice. Scheduled for release coming November ($30) the track pack includes 18 tracks from AC/DC's Live at Donington concert and will be sold exclusively through Wal-Mart.

Harmonix and MTV Games unveiled the set list of more than 80 on-disc songs for Rock Band 2. The title will also feature an online World Tour mode, Tour Challenges, a Battle of the Bands mode that lets bands face off against other bands, and customizable set lists. It'll be backward compatible with previous Rock Band downloadable music content, and support for third-party peripherals.

That EA would be making a sequel to last year's Rock Band isn't much of a surprise, EA Announced it will be available in North America in Sept., first on X360, and other platforms later. DLCs from the original will be playable in the sequel, and while the peripherals from the first outing are compatible with RB 2, there will be updated instruments available as a bundle package.
