Though information about it was leaked a few days ago, the PSPgo was officially unveiled this morning at the Sony press conference. Created with portable, pocket-sized gaming in mind, the PSPgo will come with 16GB of internal flash memory and be priced at $249.99 and be available October 2009. Also on display during the event was a prototype controller that will work with the PlayStation Eye to add depth perception to the gaming experience. New red, silver and blue Dualshock 3 controllers will also be available later this year.

At its press conference this morning, Sony announced some major enhancements are coming to the PlayStation Network, including new game content, PSP access to the PSN movie delivery service, agreements with Showtime, Starz, E! and The Weinstein Company for TV, movie, anime and sports content, and a better content manager. Squeeballs is a collection of more than 150 unique challenges that showcases the capabilities of the Gametrak Freedom, an ultrasonic 3D motion-control game controller. Squeeballs are toys that are manufactured on a secret island somewhere in the Pacific and they must be fully tested by the players of the game before they can be sold to children across the world.
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars pairs well-known characters from Capcom’s roster of games with some of Japan’s most beloved characters from anime powerhouse Tatsunoko Production. From Capcom’s 30-year history comes characters like Ryu and Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series, Morrigan from Darkstalkers and company mascot Mega Man Volnutt from Mega Man Legends.
Ubisoft will be releasing a downloadable game inspired by one of the most acclaimed arcade games of all time – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled. This side-scrolling, four-player action brawler based on the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles animated series.
