The VenturaCountyStar is reporting that per day the Business Software Alliance (BSA) investigates about 700 companies suspected of using unlicensed software. Wednesday the BSA announced it had fined five L.A.-area businesses more than $500,000 for using software for which they did not have licenses, one of those businesses was Delta Force developer NovaLogic Inc (thanks Team AWG).

NovaLogic today announced the introduction of ‘Boot Camp’ stat based games on their NovaWorld game servers to further increase the playability of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising and the expansion pack Joint Ops: Escalation for new gamers to the franchise. Commencing October 21st, owners of Joint Operations will be able to download versions of classic Joint Ops maps that are optimized for 5 v 5 player squad engagements. The first map to be released is 'Kutu Arms Market' and will be available via NovaLogic's own NovaXchange Map exchange system. Log into NovaWorld.com and click on the 'Xchange" tab at the top of the screen to download this new map, as well as access over 200 user created Joint Ops maps.
