A recent case of suicide by a boy addicted to Internet games has increased the public's concern over the issue of Internet Addiction Disorder (IAD). Xiao Yi, a 13-year-old from Tianjin, committed suicide thinking that he would meet his friends from cyber space after he died. He jumped from the top of a 24-storey high-rise, Beijing Youth Daily reported yesterday.

Ubisoft today announces that they have reached an exclusive publishing agreement with High Moon Studios, Inc. to release Darkwatch, an immersive, story- driven FPS that blends the lawless action of the Wild West with the intense horror of vampire movies. Online retailer GameStop shed new light on what has been rumored for some time now, Burnout Revenge coming to the X360. A
product page listing shows that Criterion's latest edition in the Burnout franchise has a tentative release date of November 1st, and will be sold for an estmated price of $59.99, which has also been previously discussed as being a possible price tag for next-gen console titles. GameStop put a disclaimer on the listing, saying that the release date is subject to change, but if not, this would mean the X360 could come as early as November 1st, right on time for the holiday season...

interview with EuroGamer, Remedy's Petri Järvilehto said that they were looking into the possibility to offer its upcoming next-gen title Alan Wake through a system similar to Valve's Steam. Fans of boxed games can rest assured though, as Remedy is only looking into it as an "option," while its main distributiuon will be done through the conventional boxed copy method. Petri also said that he thinks a digital only distribution is still a ways off.
