Microsoft today announced Fuzion Frenzy 2, developed by Hudson, a party game set in space that combines futuristic arcade action, superior mini-games, tournament modes, and custom tailored games with online features such as multiplayer and customizable tournaments.

EA today announced The Sims 2 Pets, allowing players to create and control digital characters throughout their lives while determining the outcome of their relationships and choosing their destiny. Each platform will feature customized content.

EA officially announced The Battle for Middle-earth II: The Rise of the Witch-king, enhancing every existing feature and offering players the chance to command the rise of evil in Middle-earth while experiencing the epic battles that took place before those depicted in the films.

Eidos today released the first details of its intense action title Kane and Lynch: Dead Men. Currently in development by Hitman developers IO Interactive. Kane and Lynch: Dead Men will be released in 2007 initially for the X360 and PC.

While of course no details were provided, when one user hinted it might be about the release date, Mark Rein commented "maybe the announcement that is going to be made isn't what you think it is." dtp-/ANACONDA announced it has signed an agreement with Master Creating to publish its new action RPG Legend: Hand of God, set in a fantasy world where you guide your hero in his quest against evil, fighting your way through action filled battles.

After weeks of speculations, AMD and ATI announced a plan to join forces in a US $5.4 billion transaction, combining AMD’s technology in microprocessors with ATI’s strengths in graphics. The merge is expected to close in Q4 2006 subject to approval by ATI shareholders, court approval, regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions.
