Encore today announced that it has expanded its co-publishing agreement with JoWooD Productions Software AG, an Austrian game publisher and developer. Under this new agreement, Encore will manage the sales, distribution and marketing exclusively in North America for over a dozen new PC games, a back catalog of an additional two dozen PC titles, and a handful of console games. iEntertainment Network announced today that it has signed a deal with Activision Value Publishing, Inc. (AVP) to develop AVP's The History Channel WWII: The Battle of Britain, a new single player game to North American retail outlets in October. The highly anticipated game, WWII: The Battle of Britain, includes a brand new combat terrain with over 270 miles of actual English Channel topography taken from real satellite data, over 40 historically accurate airplanes, and real flight models designed to perfectly match the flying characteristics of World War II aircraft.

Encore today announced that AquaNox 2: Revelation, Cold Zero and Chaser have begun shipping. The PC games, published by Encore with content delivered from Austria-based JoWooD Productions Software, will begin reaching store shelves by the end of this week, retailing for approximately $40 each.

‘The Great Escape’ video game is based on the 1963 Oscar nominated film staring Steve McQueen and revolves around actual events during WW2. The game is set in a number of unique locations, from POW camps to a mountain-top castle. Game levels include a busy hospital, a chase through a moving train and escape from an active Luftwaffe airfield. The core of the game centres on the largest mass breakout ever, from the ‘escape proof’ Stalag Luft III prisoner of war camp.

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. (SOE) announced today that it is finalizing plans to create SOEGames.net , an online game matching service that will allow gamers to find each other and battle it out across the Internet. The first games to take advantage of SOEGames.net will be Lords of EverQuest and Champions of Norrath, two upcoming Sony Online Entertainment titles. SOEGames.net will also be the first game matching system designed to host both console and PC games.

Sony Online Entertainment Inc. today announced development agreements with Lodestone Games LLC and SolWorks to create original gaming content to be published by SOE. Lodestone and SolWorks will be creating two independent, as-yet unannounced games; further product information will be revealed at a later date.
