Several games went gold today (apart from the one's listed earlier today that is) ...
- CDV Germany lets us know that Blitzkrieg, their eagerly anticipated World War II RTS, has gone gold and will appear in German stores March 28 (other localizations later).
- Shrapnel Games announces that Mark H. Walker's Lock 'N Load, the tactical game system with "more game, less guff" should begin shipping May 5th.
- Russian developer Bootlat Studios announced that the Russian version of their Role-Playing Strategy game 'Lethal Dreams: The Circle of Fate' is finished and is expected in stroes soon (other localizations later)

Ubi Soft today announced that the Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon action/adventure game will ship for retail in August 2003. Developed by Genki under license from Sony Pictures Consumer Products and based on Sony Pictures Classics' Academy Award winning movie, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon will be available for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system. Ubi Soft China will also develop Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon for the GBA. In a related matter, HomeLAN has the word that there will be NO PC version, although it was originally planned.

Painkiller is a nickname of a pretty unusual mercenary, who is dealing with supernatural. There are places on Earth where demons and other evil creatures have their nests: abandoned prisons, private castles, deep caves in the mountains... "Cleaning" those places is good money, and our hero needs a lot of it, since he loves living the life to its fullest. One day he gets what seems to be a pretty simple job: to retrieve a religious artifact from one of the nests. When after a furious battle he realizes he might have been tricked into the war between two competing clans of the undead, he tries to play his own cards.

Line of Sight: Vietnam is N-Fusion's latest project to create a stealthy combat game set during the Vietnam War, which is proving to be an ever-more-popular setting for computer games.The game will be created by Deadly Dozen developers nFusion Interactive, and puts the player in the role of a U.S. Army Special Forces sniper operating in the dense jungles of Vietnam during the height of the U.S. involvement in the war. Icculus has issued another updated dedicated Linux server for MoH: Allied Assault Spearhead, allowing Linux PCs to host multiplayer games for v2.15 of the World War II FPS expansion by EA. This is still in beta stage (v5) so not the final product and the developers encourage email support! There is no information on the fixes in this release and the distro does not include two auxiliary .pak files from beta 4, so you may still need that as well. Noticed on
GameSpot that Enigma Rising Tide has reached 'Gold' status meaning that the boxed retail version of Tesseraction's naval combat game is complete, and we can expect it to reach US stores around May15th. This is the offline part of the game, offering graphical enhancements compared to the previously released demo's, and does not include the original multiplayer portion, as originally planned. Back on
Sept 26th the game already went gold once before, but since GMX Media picked up the offline rights, who knows what happened inbetween now and then...
