As expected the new patch for the Unreal engine powered multiplayer shooter America's Army has been released. The patch has a lot of goodies such as a new map, a new Honor System feature, Combat Effectiveness Meter and a slew of big fixes, tweaks and upgrades. Electronic Arts announced today that the signup date for the multiplayer test of Command & Conquer Generals has changed. Signups will now begin Friday, Oct. 11 at 8 a.m. PST, and will close at 11:59 p.m. that evening. Command & Conquer Generals will be published by EA under the EA GAMES brand this winter.

http://generals.ea.com/. Anyone who signs up for the public test must meet the minimum system requirements to be eligible for selection. Those requirements will be posted on the public test sign up page of the official Command & Conquer Generals Web site.

Sierra/Fox Interactive just let us know that they have released a new patch for Die Hard: Nakatomi Plaza. This upgrade "fixes an expiring DLL file which causes footsteps in the game to become inaudible", bringing the first-person shooter by Piranha Games to version 1.04. Just noticed on Bluesnews that Sierra has released another BIG update patch for their hit title, Tribes II. The patch includes changes made since the previous beta patch, the Team Rabbit 2 and TRIBES 2 classic game types, a new Torque Game Engine mission editor, along with various bug-fixes.
