Today Global Star Software, a subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive announced that they have gone gold with their upcoming airline management simulation for the PC platform, Airlines 2.

Returning to the streets with the most adrenaline-filled, high-performance arcade-style driving game of the season, Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. today announced that it has shipped Burnout 2: Point of Impact for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system. Created by Criterion Games Limited, Burnout 2: Point of Impact is the award-winning sequel to the million unit-selling street racing brand that set the standard for driving realism and incredibly realistic crashes.

Look for seven Grand Theft Auto: Vice City soundtrack albums to be released in conjunction with the launch of Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto: Vice City for the PlayStation2 on October 29. The soundtracks will be the quintessential 80's music collection, with each genre-based album replicating the game's 1980's radio FM dial, with stations ranging from Heavy Metal and Soul to Rap and Pop. Over 80 tracks from artists such as Judas Priest, Blondie, Flock of Seagulls, Kool & the Gang, Hall & Oates, Grandmaster Flash, Cutting Crew and many more will be included that span the entire musical spectrum of the period.

Atari shipped The Terminator: Dawn of Fate, a third-person action game based on the hit movie franchise, to retail stores this week for the PlayStation2 computer entertainment system and the Xbox video game system from Microsoft. SEGA of America, Inc. today announced that "Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II," the company's 20th online game and the first online-enabled game for the Nintendo GameCube, will feature exclusive downloadable quests as part of the game's online service package. The "Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II" service package will be available from SEGA for $8.95 per month beginning at the game's launch in the U.S. on October 29, 2002. "Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II" can be played offline with up to four players for free.
