'Guild Wars' E3 Demo Launches

Earlier than expected, ArenaNet has already launched the E3 demo session for their upcoming MMORPGGuild Wars. Since the game is still months from release, the demo limits players to a portion of the game available in the closed alpha test. As specified in one of the demo's loading screens, characters are limited to level 15, the number of quests and missions is limited, some professions lack a full range of abilities, and guild and trading features are not yet implemented. 'Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War' - Fourth Race Revealed

THQ and Relic Entertainment today unveiled the fourth race in their PC title, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War. Previously, the two companies had announced that the Space Marines, Chaos and Orks would be featured as playable races in the game that is expected to deliver the most visceral frontline combat ever delivered in an RTS. Today, the two companies confirmed that the strong and powerful Eldar will be the fourth race. The Eldar's unrivaled psychic powers and powerful infantry make them a powerful force in the galaxy.

EA Officially Announces 'Xbox Live' Support

Electronic Arts today announced one of the most anticipated events in the history of videogames: EA and Microsoft have struck an agreement that will allow players of EA SPORTS and EA GAMES titles to compete and play online through Xbox Live. Players will have access to voice communication, tournaments, ladders and all the fun of online play.

'Strategy First' 2004 E3 Lineup

Strategy First will be presenting titles from their 2004 line-up on the E3 show floor. Among the titles being shown are: Chaos League, a highly anticipated 3D game combining RPG, RTS and sports elements in a no-holds-barred fantasy setting; ALFA: Antiterror, a turn-based tactical combat simulator that lets the player control the Alfa team, Russia's Special Operations force and Anti-Terror squad; COPS 2170: The Power of Law, a hybrid RPG and Tactical Strategy game set in a cyberpunk metropolis in the not to distant future.

Crashday puts the player in a world of stunts, dents and adrenalin. His task is to scrap his vehicle with breathtaking stunts or to wreck cars in aggressive street races, showing his opponents that they made a fatal mistake in choosing him as their enemy. Sigil Games Signs Another Everquest Designer For 'Vanguard: Saga of Heroes'

Sigil Games Online, Inc. today announced that original "EverQuest" designer Ryan Palacio has accepted the position of Senior Game Designer to begin work immediately on the next generation massively multiplayer game "Vanguard: Saga of Heroes." He joins many of his former teammates already at Sigil, including Milo Cooper, Steve Clover, Mike Hutchins and Brad McQuaid.

NDL Announces 'Gamebryo' Powered Titles

NDL announced today that more than a dozen computer video game titles using its Gamebryo 3D graphics engine and tools will be demonstrated at the annual E3. A wide range of genres, visual styles and platforms will be represented in the titles launched by top-tier developers and publishers at E3.
