Westwood Starts C&C Renegade Pre-orders & Screens

by Rainier on Sept. 7, 2001 @ 6:00 p.m. PDT

Westwood Studios announced today that it will give away three exclusive multiplay character skins to those who pre-order Command & Conquer Renegade™ from participating retailers. Renegade is published by Electronic Arts under the EA GAMES™ brand.

The three skins available to those who pre-order the game are for Havoc, the main character, and are a desert commando skin, a snowsuit skin, and a stealth suit skin. Those who have pre-ordered Renegade will receive a website URL and a code when they pick up their copy of the game from the retailer. Once they visit the website and enter the code, they will have access to the skins.

Renegade is a fast-paced 3D action game set in the Command & Conquer universe. For the first time, players can experience the war between GDI and NOD up-close and personal as they fight it out on the ground among the structures, vehicles and weapons made famous in the original Command & Conquer. Renegade offers an intense multiplayer experience with a variety of team play and deathmatch options, including “C&C Mode,” where two teams of players fight to destroy each other’s base.

More information about Renegade and the pre-sell program can be found at their WEBSITE.
