CarrotLand is under siege by the Pig National Army and the future for the happy-go -lucky peace loving Rabbits looks bleak. Their only hope is to launch a skilful, guerrilla-style counter attack using a light, mobile shock force comprised of their remaining units.
Players must take command of either the rabbit or pigs' army and will have to prove themselves in a series of widely varied missions. In contrast to the "mass slaughter" typical of the genre, S.W.I.N.E requires players to command a manageable number of units that can also be enhanced during the course of the game.
The advanced 3D engine in S.W.I.N.E permits a 360º view, and continuous zooming for full vision of the battle field. All vehicles are animated and feature distinct movement and combat attributes with realistic detail and authentic sounds. Continuously changing weather, a variety of landscapes, and a choice of day and night missions further increase the level of realism. Humerous commentary from the clashing rabbits and pigs serves to lighten up the tense battle atmosphere.
S.W.I.N.E. is an exquisitely detailed execution of a Real Time Tactical Strategy game. Pay attention though, even dedicated strategy fans should take care not to underestimate the rabbits' beet barrage.
Managing Director of JoWooD Productions UK Ltd, Vip Patel said: "S.W.I.N.E is a breath of fresh air in the real time strategy genre. It is great fun to play and the next in a long line of first rate titles from JoWooD in 2002."
