Ubisoft launched an eBay auction for three unique video game packages with all proceeds to benefit the San Francisco Food Bank, the largest distributor of food to low-income people in San Francisco. The three auction packages include a video game console and 13 games, including award-winning Ubisoft titles such as Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, and hot new titles for the 2004 holiday season like Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 2 and Prince of Persia: Warrior Within.
Ubisoft is auctioning an Xbox videogame system (retail value $149.99), a PlayStation2 computer entertainment system (retail value $149.99) and a Nintendo GameCube (retail value $99.99), with a collector's set of 13 video games per console. Each auction package is worth approximately $500 in retail value and is running now through December 10.
"Ubisoft is committed to giving back to the local community and this unique videogame auction is a fun way to do it," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing at Ubisoft. "This year we have selected the San Francisco Food Bank as our local charity, and we are proud to be partnering with the organization in its fight against hunger."
The complete winning packages (which include games that have been rate "E" for "Everyone" to "M" for "Mature" by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB)) are:
