As WP's managing editor, I edit review and preview articles, attempt to keep up with the frantic pace of Rainier's news posts, and keep our reviewers on deadline, which is akin to herding cats. When I have a moment to myself and don't have my nose in a book, I like to play action/RPG, adventure and platforming games.

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover (PSP)

Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover is in stores now across North America and features a whole new story mode, new moves, new venues, and head-to-head wireless gameplay.

Create a fighter from the ground up, choosing from thousands of unlockable licensed gear to personalize your hip hop character. Master over 180 new moves and five different fighting styles to rise through the ranks and gain respect amongst your crew to ultimately rule the streets of New York City.

Take on friends head-to-head in wireless Battle Mode or 1-vs-1 Death Match. There are over 24 interactive venues to choose from, with everything from destructible objects to rowdy spectators that get involved in the action.

The first officially licensed hip hop fighting videogame for the Sony PSP system, Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover features over 40 of the hottest names in hip hop including Ludacris, Snoop Dogg and Busta Rhymes. Developed in Vancouver, B.C., by EA Canada, Def Jam Fight For NY: The Takeover is rated "M" (Mature) by the ESRB.

World Championship Poker: All In (PSP/PS2)

Crave Entertainment, a leading publisher of console videogames, today announced that the third installment in the best-selling poker video game franchise in North America, World Championship Poker: Featuring Howard Lederer "All In," for the PlayStation 2 and PSP system is now shipping to retailers nationwide. World Championship Poker: Featuring Howard Lederer "All In," will be available for the Xbox 360 in October of 2006.

WCP: All In features some of the most recognizable and successful poker stars in the world, including Howard Lederer, his sister Annie Duke (who becomes exclusive to the World Championship Poker franchise with this installment), and Robert Williamson III. Joining the roster of this year's edition are noted international poker superstars Marcel Luske, Thomas Bihl and Erin Ness, who parlayed a victory at a Maxim Magazine office tournament into a seat at the 2004 World Series of Poker. Over the past few years, the World Championship Poker series has developed a reputation for being a game intelligent and diverse enough to appeal to poker players of all skill levels.
