'Rocket League' Season 24 Begins Next Week, Includes Honor Duels, KBM Control Updates, LTEs, And More - Trailer

by Rainier on Sept. 18, 2026 @ 2:18 p.m. PDT

Rocket League is a fast-paced action-sports game featuring amazing physics, crazy aerial action, and compelling multiplayer combat.

The sequel to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars, Rocket League expands on its successful pedigree with improved graphics and physics systems, a robust new single-player campaign, considerable customization options, and a fully-charged multiplayer game geared for a next-generation action-sports experience.

Rocket League is a futuristic action-sports game where players pilot rocket-powered vehicles in an enhanced version of soccer by driving their vehicles into the ball and other players in a variety of arenas. Rocket League uses an advanced physics system to simulate realistic interactions between cars and the ball, where mass and momentum determine how hard balls and cars hit each other, creating a unique and visceral playing experience.

Rocket League embraces the speed, style, and competitive dominance of street racing in Season 24, live September 23!

Here’s a snapshot of what the new season brings:

  • New features: Settle beef and challenge another player to a post-match 1v1 Honor Duel in the same mode, pick up wholly new items or painted versions with Black Market Trade-Ins, and climb the Soccar-specific Ranked Leaderboards to get Top 100 Ranked Rewards.
  • LTEs: Earn Nova Collection Drops by completing Run it Up LTE Challenges and be the last car standing in the Bullet Ball LTE. Persona 5 rolls into Rocket League with an LTE granting themed Challenge Rewards and the Mona Car Bundle in the Shop.
  • Rocket Rivalry: Forky, Tenacity, ApparentlyJack, and more Rocket League creators go head to head in Rocket Rivalry. Equip their titles and win Honor Duels to send the top two creators to a live showmatch at the RLCS kickoff showmatch in London.
  • Rocket Pass Premium: Pick up the Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 50 (Octane hitbox), Dominus GT 76 (Dominus hitbox), and the Pareto 5S (Breakout hitbox) along with other items as you tier up.

Rocket League Heads to the Streets in Season 24

Season 24 takes Rocket League underground, where speed, style, and a clean win are all that matters. Pull up on September 23 at 9 AM PT and let your skills do the talking.

Season 24 has a lot in store:

Honor Duel: Got beef? Challenge another player from your match to a 1v1. If they accept, when the current match finishes, you’ll both drop straight into a duel of the same mode.  Any other players in the match will have the option to spectate.

Black Market Trade-In: Trade in three duplicate Black Market items and get one back! The item you receive will be a wholly new item or a painted version you’ve yet to collect.

MVP Focused Podium: The end-of-match celebration now highlights the match MVP even more, playing their goal explosion in the open net behind the team.

Custom Scoreboard: Pick the four stats that sit next to the score in the in-game scoreboard. You can set 4 unique trackable stats per mode, including almost all of the stats shown in the career portion on your profile.

Updated KBM Controls: A new Free Look Camera has been added that will allow players to focus their camera whenever and wherever they want. This can also be enabled for controllers for any player interested in experimenting with new camera controls.

Mouse and keyboard controls have been updated with modernized key bindings and additional settings that players can tweak to change the M/KB experience. These new controls will be the default for new M/KB players, and for existing players - try it out and let us know what you think!

Top 100 Ranked Rewards: Finishing in the Top 100 in any (or all) of the Soccar-specific Ranked Leaderboards: 3v3, 2v2, and 1v1 will now award one of 5 exclusive Titles based on placement. Finishing in spots 100 to 51 earns a "S24 3V3 TOP 100" Title, 50 to 26 earns "S24 3V3 TOP 50", and so on down to the #1 spot.

Season 24 runs three Limited Time Events, two of them starting day one. Here's what's live and when.
