by Judy on April 10, 2007 @ 1:01 p.m. PDT

Another day, another batch of games shipped to stores. Instead of giving them all their own posts, we grouped them, and so far there are announcements for:

The Ship (PC)

Merscom announced today The Ship is now available in most North American retail stores. The Ship blends traditional first and third person gameplay with a Sims-style day-to-day needs system including food, sleep and social interaction. An intriguing game featuring exploration, investigation, survival, stealth, and murder, The Ship is set on beautifully crafted decking and highly polished interactive environments.

The core of The Ship's gameplay lies in "the Hunt." Each player given the name of another passenger and is required to hunt down and kill him or her with any weapon they can find, all the while avoiding security or getting killed by their own hunter. Depending on the game mode, the winner is either the last hunter alive or the one with the most money in his bank account.

In order to be a successful hunter, it is necessary for players to know their way around all of the liners, each of which has its own secrets. Among such secret features are extra weapons, hidden rooms, passages and tunnels, "extra special" ways of murdering foes, and environmental traps.

Toon-Doku (NDS)

Majesco today announced that it has shipped Toon-Doku for the Nintendo DS. Developed by Dragon's Den Unlimited, Toon-Doku incorporates fun cartoon pictures into traditional Sudoku puzzles while adding a competitive multiplayer experience into the mix.

Toon-Doku features 250 different images players can place on the board to complete each puzzle. A deep Edit Mode lets budding artists create their own customized pieces for play or trade with friends. In addition to three multiplayer modes, Toon-Doku includes a unique Distraction System that lets gamers block portions of their opponent's board to thwart their progress in competitive matches.

Rated E for Everyone, Toon-Doku has a suggested retail price of $19.99.
