by Rainier on Dec. 9, 2008 @ 2:52 a.m. PST

Playrix Entertainment, known for casual games such as The Rise of Atlantis, Fishdom, 4 Elements and newly-released Call of Atlantis, announced its publishing plans and has already signed several agreements to publish games from external studios.

The company officially announced its publishing plans at Casual Connect Kyiv 2008 stating that "Playrix has all the necessary resources to assist developers with new games and transform them into best-selling titles."

"We are thrilled that Playrix's statement to go into publishing triggered a lot of interest and enthusiasm among talented developers of high-quality content," said Oskar Nezhelskiy, the company's lead producer in charge of publishing. "Playrix Entertainment is a seasoned game developer and that puts us in a perfect position to publish games from external studios. With an experienced team of top-notch game professionals, extensive network of distribution channels and very competitive terms we are able to offer excellent publishing opportunities."

According to Oskar, the first project where Playrix acts as a full-scale publisher is set to launch in early 2009.
