At the heart of PS3 is the Cell Broadband Engine, one of the most advanced computer processors in the world, that enables massive floating point calculation, and Blu-ray Disc (BD) drive, providing a High Definition (1080p) next-generation gaming and movie experience in the home, as well as up to 50 GB of data capacity.
Sony has rolled out new PlayStation Store content, starting with TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled ($9.99), demos for Katamari Forever, Star Wars The Clone Wars: Republic Heroes, TMNT: Turtles in Time Re-Shelled, Half-Minute Hero (PSP), DLCs for High Velocity Bowling, PAIN, Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, Red Faction Guerilla Multiplayer Pack 2 ($6.99), song packs for Guitar Hero, Rock Band (Unplugged); and the usual game/movie trailers, PS3 themes and downloadable PSP games (WipEout Pulse at $$22.99, Wild Arms XF at $29.99).
