'Battlefield 3' (ALL) Will Not Support Windows XP

by Rainier on Dec. 31, 2010 @ 1:55 p.m. PST

Battlefield 3 not only includes its signature multiplayer potion, but also a full single-player campaign and a co-op campaign featuring the return of jets, prone, and 64-player multiplayer (on PC), all powered by the new Frostbite 2 game engine..

Not many details have been revealed but DICE dev Johan Andersson revealed a little while back that the new Frostbite 2 engine will be DirectX11 focused, with DX10 compatibility, but since WinXP is DX9, the aging OS will not be supported.
