by Rainier on Feb. 20, 2012 @ 1:53 p.m. PST

The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav is a new point & click adventure set in the fantastic world of Aventuria.

In Andergast, King Efferdan and his notoriously superstitious suspects await a state visit from high-ranking dignitaries. For centuries the kingdom has been at odds with neighboring Nostria, but now first steps are being undertaken toward a lasting peace. But a plague of crows troubles the king, for the birds are acting with unusual aggressiveness, even attacking humans. Moreover, there are those among the citizens of Andergast who swear that the crows are bringing them dark nightmares. As the belligerent creatures infiltrate even the castle itself, the king seeks a skilled bird catcher - an opportunity for young Geron to prove that the reputation for ill luck that has followed him since childhood is undeserved. However, the task prove much more difficult than he expects and leads him on the path of the greatest adventure of his life that will take him to the borders of the charted lands of Aventuria and beyond.

Hand-drawn locations in dazzlingly detailed HD, challenging puzzles, an engaging storyline and lovingly animated characters await adventure fans in this classic point & click adventure game.

The music originates from the award-winning studio “Knights of Soundtrack“(Daniel Pharos and Dominik Morgenroth), which won the German Developer-Award for “A New Beginning“ in the category “Best Soundtrack“.

For the componists' implementation Pharos und Morgenroth hired several guest-musicians of the medieval-scene: Sarah M. Newman, of the known medieval-band “Estampie“, plays the fiddle and lends her voice to the characteristic soundtrack. She is fortified by “Adas'“ harpist Angelika “Geka“ Voigt, the violinist  Katy Lestrémau and other professional guest-musicians.

The soundtrack on CD will be included in the normal-, as well as in the collector’s edition.

Daniel Pharos about the soundtrack: "It was wonderful to accompany the hero Geron on his journey. The fairytale music we created is among our most emotive soundtracks, full of soft, beautiful moments. The game has a particular mood and to highlight these with music was a gorgeous experience!"

However players can already listen to first parts of the atmospheric soundtrack on the official homepage.
