'Final Fantasy XI' (ALL) Welcomes Back Veteran Players With Free Trial And New Content

by Rainier on Nov. 11, 2014 @ 8:50 a.m. PST

In Final Fantasy XI you embark on numerous adventures through vast environments in Vana'diel: a persistent world with over a hundred areas to explore, ranging from mountains, forests, to oceans, castles, and dungeons.

The gaming universe contains the visual content, innovative gameplay and deep storyline that the Final Fantasy series is famous for. The Rise of the Zilart expansion pack expands the storyline and opens up a variety of higher-level skills and abilities.

Starting today and running through November 17, 2014, all previous Final Fantasy XI players with inactive service accounts as of November 8th, are welcomed back for free during the limited-time Return Home to Vana’dielcampaign. If any of the past players are missing the latest expansions or add-on content, they can easily reignite their adventures by taking advantage of max discounts for the download versions of the Final Fantasy XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition – an all-in-one package containing every expansion from Rise of the Zilart to the latest Seekers of Adoulin – as well as the Seekers of Adoulin expansion pack.

Just by logging in, eligible adventurers can also participate in the Adventurer Appreciation Campaign and all adventurers can take part in the Idyllic Vana’diel Iniative promotion, which offers an immense package of 11 different campaigns as well as bonus content.

Campaigns include:

  • Double XP Campaign
  • Double Capacity Point Campaign
  • Abyssea and Atma Extravaganza
  • Mob Garden Campaign
  • Alter Ego Extravaganza Unlimited
  • Adoulin Dial Campaign
  • Double Skirmish Simulacra Segment Drop Rate Campaign
  • Skirmish Treasure Coffer Campaign
  • Wildskeeper Reive Campaign
  • Meeble Burrows Campaign
  • Plus, your very own Mog Pell (Green) and SP Gobbie Key

The Adventurer Appreciation Campaign and Idyllic Vana’diel Initiative promotions run until November 25, 2014 at 6:00 a.m. (PST).

Finally, as the Seekers of Adoulin story arrives at its final stage, composer Naoshi Mizuta has created a new song that features vocals by singer Mika Kobayashi (Attack on Titan, Kill la Kill) to coincide with the event. This song will also be released in a special digital album via iTunes alongside other unreleased Seekers of Adoulin songs, featuring an exclusive digital jacket artwork created by Tetsuya Nomura.

Final Fantasy XI is available for the Xbox 360 and on PC through the Square Enix Online Store or online platforms, including Steam.
