'Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus' (ALL) Gets PC Date - Screens & Trailer

by Rainier on May 24, 2016 @ 2:53 p.m. PDT

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus is a battle action game where players take control of the girls from four different factions and battle it out to become the last shinobi squad standing.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus directly follows the events of Senran Kagura Burst, revisiting the fierce rivalry between the girls of Hanzō National Academy and their sworn enemies from Hebijo Clandestine Girls’ Academy, the latter of which have now gone underground and formed a mercenary strike team known as the Homura Crimson Squad. In addition to their old adversaries, the Hanzō girls must also face a whole new set of foes: the students of Gessen Girls’ Academy, who seek to punish them for their shortcomings as shinobi warriors. Meanwhile, a new class is in session at Hebijo, and these students mean business: they oppose all three of the competing factions and will stop at nothing to be the last shinobi squad standing – even if it means leaving broken bodies and shattered dreams in their wake.

Throughout Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus, players will take control of characters from each of these schools, experiencing the narrative from four distinct viewpoints via the original Japanese voice track coupled with English subtitles.

Fan-favorite elements such as massive mid-air combos, Secret Ninja Techniques and clothes-ripping action will now be presented in full HD with this PC update of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus. Each of the four schools gets its own unique narrative, and the original Japanese voice-overs pair with full English subtitles to bring each girl’s distinct personality and storyline to life. With 20 playable characters, each featuring her own diverse fighting style and palette of special skills, players will have to master a vast array of abilities as they set forth upon the Path of the Shinobi.

In addition, all previously released DLC from the game’s Vita release -- including extra characters, costumes, weapons, and more -- will be included from the start, fully unlockable through gameplay. With over 20 playable characters, each featuring her own diverse fighting style and palette of special skills, players will have to master a vast array of abilities as they set forth upon the Path of the Shinobi. Players can also compete in three online multiplayer modes each designed for up to four players, including Death Match, Strip Battle (try to unclothe opponents), and Understorm (a race to grab the most undergarments falling from the sky).

To celebrate the occasion, the game will be offered at 10% off its regular list price of $29.99, €27.99, and £22.99 for the first week after launch (other international pricing may vary).

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus shifts from the side-scrolling action of Burst to full 3D battles, and fans can expect to find more of all of Senran Kagura’s hallmark features – ridiculous mid-air combos, over-the-top humor and revealing Secret Ninja Art techniques. The game features 20 unique shinobi fighters for players to master, each with her own unique weapon, techniques and special moves, while Secret Ninja Arts can be exploited to change costumes and power up mid-battle. On top of the single-player game, up to four players can battle online or via ad-hoc connection to determine which shinobi is the best of them all.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus is currently available digitally on the PlayStation Store ($39.99/€29.99) and physically via the Let's Get Physical Limited Edition ($49.99).
