'Crossout' (ALL) Content Update Adds New Modes, Maps and Other Improvements

by Rainier on June 29, 2018 @ 9:41 a.m. PDT

Set in a post-apocalyptic world devastated by an alien invasion and human genetic testing gone awry, Crossout is a new team based multiplayer vehicle combat game.

Crossout tests players’ creativity in building, upgrading and customizing deadly armored vehicles to destroy enemies in open player vs player combat.

No two vehicles in Crossout are the same, as players can create any kind of combat vehicle from the speediest buggy to the heaviest of off-road vehicles to reflect their warrior sense of gameplay. Offering complete customization, Crossout gives players thousands of possibilities to design their vehicle, including shape, armor, weapons, support systems and, cosmetic enhancements. Visit your own garage to build new advanced mechanisms and sell them via the in-game auction system.

Players also have multiple options when it comes to mass destruction - combat vehicles can be equipped with an explosive range of weapons from chainsaws, power drills and machine guns, to rocket launchers, flying drones and stealth generators. Featuring an advanced damage model, destroy any part of an enemy machine and it will affect that vehicle's performance.

The Crossout Content Update 0.9.90 introduces an entirely new PvP game mode, a challenging cooperative PvE raid, a new map and many other improvements to the game.

The new ‘Domination’ PvP game mode sends teams to fight for dominance over three different control zones on the map. Both teams will have to tactically split their forces to ensure capturing and holding at least two of the zones to secure victory. The new mode is accessible through regular random battles for all players that have reached level 10 and is also immediately available on the new map ‘Nameless Tower’, which is centered around an old nuclear plant cooling tower which turned into an occult place of Wasteland prayer.

In ‘Steel Cradle’, a cooperative PvE raid, a team four players attack a large factory complex in the Wastelands that produces the fearsome Leviathans, massive steel beasts boasting powerful weapons and armor. Players are challenged to destroy multiple components of the factory before Leviathan production is complete, gradually weakening the final boss enemy in the process - with failure to do so resulting in dangerous consequences.

Further improvements to the game include a large list of balancing, interface and other improvements. The full list of changes is available here.

Key Features:

  • Unique vehicles, crafted by the players using a wide range of available parts: from nimble buggies to heavily tracked off-road vehicles or combat platforms on antigrav fields.
  • Complete freedom of creativity and thousands of possible combinations. Create vehicles of any shape using dozens of parts, wide variety of armour and weapons as well as support systems.
  • Advanced damage model: destroy any part of an enemy machine and it will affect the vehicle's performance immediately.
  • Huge arsenal of weapons. From chain saws, power-drills over machine guns to rocket launchers, flying drones and stealth generators.
  • Your own workshop: create new, advanced parts and auction them at the in-game marketplace.
  • Trading options between players: every piece that you have gethered in the battle can be sold to other players
  • Choose your own battle strategy! The only thing matters is the Survival and Victory!

Crossout is now available for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
