'KartRider: Drift' (ALL) Integrates Vivox Voice Chat

Building upon its celebrated 15-year history, KartRider: Drift delivers all the action of its predecessor with even more drift challenges and deeper customization.

Offering wide customization features across karts and character design, KartRider: Drift encourages racers to express their unique personality as they cross the line.

KartRider: Drift offers three distinct modes, including Time Attack, an easy-to-learn Item Mode, and a competitive Speed Mode, which offers hard-to-master drifting techniques for players looking for a greater challenge. Featuring stunning Unreal Engine 4 graphics, KartRider: Drift is optimized from the ground up to deliver a stellar online experience, with a breadth of content lined up, including constantly evolving seasonal updates.

Vivox announced an agreement with Nexon Korea to provide communications technology for Nexon’s portfolio of multiplayer games.

Vivox will become an essential piece of Nexon’s ecosystem by managing, operating and hosting voice comms. Nexon’s upcoming “KartRider: Drift” will be utilizing Vivox’s technology to provide an improved social and community experience to gamers all over the world.

The agreement will allow Nexon titles to benefit from Vivox’s unique set of technologies such as 3D positional chat, cross-platform communications, Nintendo Switch compatibility, and engine-agnostic SDKs. Vivox’s managed service and technology connects hundreds of millions of gamers every month in games such as Fortnite, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG), League of Legends, and Rainbow Six: Siege. By providing only the highest quality audio along with industry-defining features, Vivox and Nexon will continue to drive engaging multiplayer experiences.

KartRider: Drift begins Closed Beta testing today on Steam, Nexon Launcher, and Xbox One.

Originally launched in 2004, KartRider is a kart racing game developed by Nexon, which has since generated over 380 million players on PC in Asia.

KartRider: Drift is in development for Xbox One and PC (Steam), scheduled for 2020.
