'Crysis Remastered' (ALL) Unveiling And Release Date Delayed Several Weeks - Screens

by Rainier on July 1, 2020 @ 10:02 a.m. PDT

Crysis Remastered offers first-person shooter fans the best-looking, evolved, and innovative gameplay, enabling players to adapt in real time to survive.

Crysis Remastered features the action-packed gameplay, sandbox world and epic battles of the original blockbuster title, with remastered graphics and optimizations for the latest modern hardware.

From the makers of Far Cry, Hunt: Showdown and CRYENGINE, Crysis Remastered brings new graphic features, high-quality textures, and the CRYENGINE's native hardware- and API-agnostic ray tracing solution.

Crysis Remastered will feature the original game’s single-player campaign alongside high-quality textures, an HD texture pack, improved art assets, temporal anti-aliasing, SSDO, SVOGI, state-of-the-art depth fields, new light settings, motion blur, parallax occlusion mapping, and particle effects (where applicable). Further additions like volumetric fog and shafts of light, software-based ray tracing, and screen space reflections deliver a major visual upgrade to this classic FPS experience.

The original Crysis arms players with the powerful Nanosuit on the battleground of a new war against alien invaders. The Nanosuit’s speed, strength, armor and cloaking allow creative solutions for every fight, with a huge arsenal of modular weaponry to give you incredible control over your play style. Become invisible to stalk enemy patrols, boost your strength to lay waste to vehicles, and deflect damage to dominate your enemies in this enormous sandbox world.

The official gameplay reveal for Crysis Remastered was supposed to happen today, but mere minutes before the unveil Crytek canceled the unveil mere minutes before kick-off and instead announced the game's release (leaked yesterday) is being delayed.

Dear Cysis Fans

As you know, Crysis Remastered will be coming into the world this year, and at the same time the Crysis IP will debut on Nintendo Switch!

Your passion for the Crysis franchise deserves an undeniable high/quality game, and we are committed to delivering just that. To ensure that we meet that commitment, we will need to delay the launch date (all platforms) and trailer premiere by a few weeks. Because they already started, pre-order for Switch will stay open, but pre-orders for all other platforms will be delayed as well.

The features you're looking forward to are already set, but we want to take the time on polishing the game. You might be aware of the leak yesterday, and we want you to know: we've seen all the reaction - the good and the bad - and we're listening! We're still working on a number of things in the game, as well as the storefront. Please keep the love coming, and rest assured, you'll have the game you love shortly!

This extra time until release will allow us to get Crysis Remastered up to the PC - and console - breaking standard you've come to expect from Crysis games. We hope you understand what we're up to - and that you stay with us while we take the time to make a few more improvements. Stay tuned, and you'll have that game, in your hands as soon as we possibly can.

We'll keep you updated on our progress, so please hang in there, and check back here for updates.

Thank you,

Team Crysis.
