'Sky: Children of the Light' (ALL) For Nintendo Switch Delayed Until 2021

by Rainier on Aug. 27, 2020 @ 12:00 a.m. PDT

Sky: Children Of The Light is an interactive social play experience that users can peacefully, collaboratively, and expressively enjoy while altruistically connecting with other users.

Welcome to the enchanting world of Sky, a beautifully-animated kingdom waiting to be explored by you and your loved ones.

Only by sharing light to awaken and redeem the perished ancestors and civilizations can the mysteries be uncovered, and the Stars be restored again. Hold hands to take flight as our adventure has just begun.

Sky: Children of the Light is an ever-expanding “social adventure” world that will continue to evolve with new characters, adventures and collectibles. It is best described as a heartwarming experience designed for fans to share and play with friends and family, time and time again. The online series is highly accessible, beautifully-animated, and it marries a stunning soundtrack and emotionally-driven backstory to bring the world to life. Sky: Children of the Light is the first chapter in the Sky series, with more to follow in the future.

Since March, our studio has taken safe measures to ensure all of our team members stay healthy - emotionally, physically, and free from COVID. Over the past five months, our staff has worked non-stop from home and have tried to be there for their loved ones during this difficult time as well. Through the pandemic, we’ve done our best to release Sky on Android, manage a live game, and launch two new adventure seasons too.

As a small indie studio working remotely, it has been incredibly challenging to pull off so many releases back to back from home.

The good news is that we’re close to being in the final stretch to deliver Sky to Nintendo Switch players. Unfortunately, the bad news is that due to the remote slowdown of work during COVID and our utmost priority to protect our team’s health, we’ve had to push back Sky’s release on Nintendo Switch by a few months into 2021. In the meantime, we have also decided to hire more staff to help us with this console release as well.

We apologize if we’ve disappointed any fans, as we work remotely to release Sky for Nintendo Switch a few months later than expected.

We wish that you and your loved ones continue to stay safe. Thanks for being the most supportive and compassionate fans around - we wouldn’t be able to do any of this without you! We will look to share another update soon.
