Red Dead Online (ALL) Details Big Summer Update, Adds Bonuses/Prizes on Races, Free Horse Care Package, New Discounts, and More

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America's unforgiving heartland, featuring a vast and atmospheric world that will also provide the foundation for a brand-new online multiplayer experience.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an epic tale of life in America at the dawn of the modern age.

America, 1899. The end of the wild west era has begun as lawmen hunt down the last remaining outlaw gangs. Those who will not surrender or succumb are killed.

After a robbery goes badly wrong in the western town of Blackwater, Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang are forced to flee. With federal agents and the best bounty hunters in the nation massing on their heels, the gang must rob, steal and fight their way across the rugged heartland of America in order to survive. As deepening internal divisions threaten to tear the gang apart, Arthur must make a choice between his own ideals and loyalty to the gang who raised him.

Built from the ground up for the latest hardware, Red Dead Online blends the classic multiplayer of the original Red Dead Redemption with the best of everything we have learned since then about creating deep multiplayer experiences. The result is something completely new and fun, and an experience that will continue to expand and evolve over time as we gain valuable feedback from our community in the Beta period.

Built from the ground up for the latest hardware, Red Dead Online blends the classic multiplayer of the original Red Dead Redemption with the best of everything we have learned since then about creating deep multiplayer experiences. The result is something completely new and fun, and an experience that will continue to expand and evolve over time.

With the gameplay of Red Dead Redemption 2 as its foundation, Red Dead Online transforms the vast and deeply detailed landscapes, cities, towns and habitats of Red Dead Redemption 2 into a new, living online world ready to be shared by multiple players. Create and customize your character, tailor your abilities to suit your play style and head out into a new frontier full of things to experience.

Explore the world solo or with friends. Form or join a Posse to ride with up to seven players; gather around the fire at your Camp; head out hunting or fishing; visit bustling towns; battle enemy gangs and attack their hideouts; hunt for treasure; take on missions and interact with familiar characters from across the five states; or fight against other outlaws in both spontaneous skirmishes and pitched set-piece battles; compete with other players or whole Posses in open world challenges and much more.

Next week, Red Dead Online delivers eight new Races spanning iconic locations across the five states — from the arid frontier outpost of Gaptooth Breach to the mining town of Annesburg and the swamps of Lagras. Show off your proficiency on horseback in all forms of equine competition with new Standard Races, along with new Open Races where it’s up to you to determine the best path to ride through all the signal fires on a given course.

Or try your hand at new Target and Open Target Races, where the aim is to take out target checkpoints with your trusty bow and arrow while on horseback. All these new races will be available to all Red Dead Online players on May 25th.

Red Dead Online’s summer update will add a diverse array of new missions across the world for those looking to step into the criminal underworld. Down in Saint Denis, Angelo Bronte’s trusted lieutenant, Guido Martelli is working to create his own criminal network, so whether it’s intimidation, unsavory crimes, or larger, high-stakes robberies — riders best be willing to do whatever it takes to earn their blood money.

In addition of today’s announcement about the upcoming new Races and the next big update to Red Dead Online, players can now score triple RDO$ and XP across all Races this week alongside triple XP in Posse Races.

Plus, additional prizes for participating and competing in Races, alongside a variety of horse-related discounts and more are available in today’s update:

  • Triple RDO$ and XP on all Races
  • Triple XP on Posse Races
  • Additional Prizes on Races: An Offer for 50% off the Improved Bow and 20x Arrows for completing any race, plus an Offer for 40% off any Saddle for any placing third or higher
  • A Free Horse Care Package at local Stables for all players who log in this week
  • New Discounts: Half off the Evans Repeater, 40% off all Saddlebags, Stirrups, Outfits, and the Bow, and 30% off all Race Horse breeds
  • Ongoing Prime Gaming Benefits: Rewards for a free Bounty Hunter License and free Trimmed Amethyst Bounty Wagon Livery for players who connect their Social Club accounts, plus those that connect to Prime Gaming before June 7th will receive Offers for 50% off the Advanced Camera and select Outfits up to Rank 15, plus Rewards for 5 Blending Tonics and 5 Legendary Animal Pheromones

Triple Rewards for All Races in Red Dead Online This Week

In preparation for the eight new Races coming next week, all Red Dead Online Races are doling out 3X RDO$ and XP, win or lose, but if you do manage to place in the Top 3 you will receive an Offer for 40% off any Saddle. If you and your crew of miscreants are looking to best each other in Free Roam, Posse Races are doling out triple XP through May 24th.

If all these sprints and marathons leave your steed winded, stop by your local Stables and pick up a free Horse Care Package to restore and replenish your hard-working pal’s vitals.

Discounts and Sales

Speaking of Stables, they’re offering 30% off all Race Horse breeds, as well as 40% off all Saddlebags and Stirrups. Gunsmiths across the states are knocking half off the price of the Evans Repeater and 40% off the Bow. Visit your local Tailor or open the Catalogue to peruse and purchase any Outfit for 40% off.

Prime Gaming Benefits
