Take part in fierce ship-to-ship battles in Waves Of Steel – an unconventional and endlessly replayable naval combat simulator.

Face off against humongous enemy fleets in a story-driven, edge-of-your-seat single-player campaign that transcends time and space. Alternate-history WW2 goes off the rails in a big way, with historical ships facing down fever-dream superweapons armed with lasers, lightning guns, and other science-fiction staples.

Across the globe, tyrants are seizing power. Their limitless military forces seem impossible to stop – rolling across all organized resistance like waves of steel. But their reach is not limitless – and in the seas and oceans of the world, resistance holds strong .... for now.

Take command of one of the few remaining free warships. Resist. Stay ahead of the enemy's grasp – and find the source of their power!

Customize cruisers to blast through the high seas against an eclectic cast of maniacal supervillains and their unconventional naval weaponry. Support Captain Quinn on a mission to save planet Earth from the mysterious armadas of Jörmungandr. Progress through more than 30 missions full of traditional and outlandish challenges to earn new tech and equipment. Build a bigger and better battleship, a match for every deranged superweapon that these antagonists can dream up.

Across its single-player campaign, your lone ship will need to take on hundreds of enemy ships, planes, and submarines – as well as colossal superweapons like a flying battleship and a gun made out of a volcano (!) Between missions, use the parts you've scavenged to customize your vessel in a flexible yet straightforward ship designer. You'll need all the firepower you can muster to take on the enemy.

Waves Of Steel developer TMA Games charges full speed ahead out of Steam Early Access on PC and into its v1.0 release on Monday, Feb. 6, 2023 with new bosses, missions, and the finale to the game’s campaign.
The aquatic chaos will also make its way to Xbox Series X|S in the near future.
The upcoming content in version 1.0 of Waves of Steel pits naval captains against the “Gale Barrier Ultimate Weapon,” a transforming warship that pays homage to classic anime mecha franchises. Once it’s been sent to the scrap heap, confront the overwhelming power of “The Biggest Gun”, which needs to be seen to be believed, and things continue to escalate from there!
“It has been so hard to keep my mouth shut about these last missions,” said Chris Weisiger, Founder of TMA Games. “They really embody what I like most about Waves of Steel: fast-paced naval action that goes in completely ridiculous directions. There’s one more surprise waiting for you once you finish those final boss fights. Alongside all the minigames, bonus missions, and other secret content, we’re delivering an incredibly over-the-top experience next year!”

Equip each ship from a selection of over 400 different parts, including massive naval artillery, torpedo launchers, anti-aircraft guns, lasers and railguns, plasma lances, giant sawblades, and more. Skillfully use game-changing superpowers like an invulnerable energy shield, ramming drill, time-stopping bubble, and yes, a kickflip, among many, many others. Bring flair to the fight with an in-depth cosmetic editor offering endless paint jobs, alternate-universe flag designs, decals, lights, and more audacious adornments.   Take advantage of a wealth of accessibility options. Rebind controls, adjust HUD colors, change the game speed and difficulty, and even configure any and every weapon to acquire targets and fire automatically. Waves of Steel strives to allow everyone to express themselves, while enjoying over-the-top destructive naval combat.

Key Features:

  • Extensive single-player campaign broken up into small pick-up-and-play missions.
  • Powerful ship designer that allows you to freely place parts on your ship's deck – along with customizable flags, paint jobs, and decals. Build your own destroyer, cruiser or battleship!
  • Dozens of playable ships based on historical designs.
  • Hundreds of ship parts with distinct artwork and capabilities. Use naval artillery, anti-aircraft guns, missile launchers, and more advanced weaponry like railguns and lasers to take down the enemy.
  • Story-motivated missions with a small cast of heroes and villains. Circumnavigate the globe in your fight against tyranny!

Waves Of Steel is coming to PC (Steam) on February 6, 2023.
